I think I found something gift card traders should probably be checking before they sell.
If you trade gift cards, you already know how easy it is to just open the platform you normally use, check the rate and go with it.
But that can leave you with one question:
>Was there actually a better rate somewhere else?
That’s what made me check out CardRadar.
It’s a gift card comparison and review app that lets you compare rates across multiple platforms in one place.
I tested it myself, and the process is pretty straightforward.
● You choose the gift card you're looking for
● select the relevant currency/card type
● Then CardRadar pulls up the available offers.
I dropped my screenshots in the replies so you can see exactly what I mean.
The part I found most useful was the actual comparison page.
For the Apple & iTunes physical card I checked, CardRadar showed 37 offers, with the highest rate displayed at ₦1,256.01.
Instead of checking platform after platform manually, you can see the offers together and compare them before deciding what to do.
And it goes beyond just showing a number.
You can also check platform rankings, user reviews and payout speed, which gives you more context when deciding where you want to sell.
There’s also a target-rate alert if you're waiting for a particular rate, plus an option to report platforms when you run into problems.
That’s actually the part I like about the idea.
CardRadar isn't the place you're trading your gift card.
It's the layer you use before the trade.
▪︎ You compare first.
▪︎ You see what the market is offering.
▪︎ You check the platforms.
▪︎ Then you make your own decision.
That feels much better than blindly using the same platform every time simply because that's what you're used to.
If you trade gift cards, I'd definitely give it a look.
