Thanks to everyone’s concern regarding wallet security. Bitget Wallet is a self custody wallet, which means user assets remain onchain under users’ control.
In short, Bitget Wallet users’ assets are not affected by the Bitget Exchange incident.
The team has been doing precautionary checks and reviews of internal systems too just in case, and no security impact has been found.
Meanwhile I noticed quite a few scam posts impersonating Bitget Wallet and spreading phishing links. Pls be cautious and alert, and check updates from only official sources.
Incidents like this are unfortunate for the industry, but I’m sure Bitget exchange will ride through this and emerge stronger.

Apple posted a job listing requiring stablecoin expertise for payment roles, offering up to $280,000.
This follows Samsung’s plans to introduce the same feature to Samsung Wallet.
Together, Apple and Samsung have more than 3.5 BILLION active devices worldwide.

PSA: iOS users, if you’ve downloaded an iOS app “FomoPeek” recently, remove it immediately.
Crypto security firms have reported suspected cases of wallet drains by this app.
The app has since been removed from the AppStore.
No cases have been reported for Android so far.
