I've had a lot of people reach out about PSN account thefts, looking for help getting their accounts back. Thank you for sharing your stories with me, but I can't help you recover your account. I have no contacts at Sony or PlayStation Support who can do that.
Your best bet is to keep contacting PlayStation Support and keep sharing your story publicly and kicking up a storm on social media so it becomes a PR issue they can't ignore. Be wary of anyone offering to recover your account for a fee, or anyone DMing you claiming to be from Sony.
My real hope is that mainstream outlets begin reporting on this to put pressure on Sony to make the necessary changes.
Many of you have also asked how to secure your PSN account, and I'll try and post a simple guide on that this week. The failure is in Sony's own security processes, so there's little you can do to stop this entirely. One quick thing that makes it harder is to create a unique email address just for your PSN account, keep it completely private, and turn on 2FA for that email.
