1) normies getting into fan activities and thinking everything has to cater to their needs
2) ppl who migrated from Wattpad, thinking the A of AO3 stands for attention seeker
3) ppl writing for kudos and not bc they genuinely like writing
I feel like some AO3 writers would be happier if they just...wrote original stories and posted them on Patreon or self-published on Amazon.
This gatekeeping, engagenebt obsessed mindset has no place in fandom spaces.

as a writer myself being mad at people using a feature that's apart of the website you upload your work to is your own fault. most of these download drives were for the readers personal use and they're only being shared because the site is down. this is such a non issue.
I’m actually mad because it took all of five hours for people to start immediately turning on fic writers yet again. God forbid we pour our hearts and time into this hobby and don’t want to do it to a void? God forbid we don’t want our stuff reposted??
