2027: Where Are the Women in Political Leadership? APC: 40 women (17.9%), 183 men (82.1%). NDC: 11 women (9.4%), 106 men (90.6%). Across party lines, women’s voices and leadership must be reflected in political decision-making. Inclusion must go beyond the ballot. Women deserve a seat at the table. #AllNigerianWomenMatter

With the very poor numbers from our gender analysis of the 2027 election candidates so far, the conversation for the special seats bill is at the forefront now more than ever if we must see an increase in women's representation in governance. Together with other CSO leaders, @unwomenng and the @ncwd_abuja, @womeninpoliticsforum had a conversation with the delegation from Global Affairs Canada to review the progress made on the bill so far. #SpecialSeatsBill

As a result of our advocacy visit to the Ministry of Justice, with support from @IRIglobal , @wipfng strategically partnered with the ministry and the joint task force on cybercrime to drive the 2026 Cybercrime awareness activities of the task force. The Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation, with the Women in Politics Forum (WIPF) as a partner, joined the Federal Ministry of Justice in organising the National Cybercrime Awareness Walk. The walk reaffirmed a shared commitment to raising awareness about cybercrime, promoting digital safety, and building safer online spaces for everyone. As more of our lives and civic engagement move online, protecting people from digital threats is essential to ensuring that everyone can participate safely and confidently. Safer digital spaces require collective action. #DigitalSafety #DigitalSafety #SheLeads

With Today marking 100 days to the 2027 general Elections, @INEC has called members of the press, political parties, CSOs and Nigerian citizens together, disseminating critical information to the preparations so far. Data on registered voters, easier access to PVCs, published voter register and others have been released and are being circulated. As Nigerians prepare to participate in a major aspect of our democracy, Nigerian women make up 42% of the registered voters. How can we ensure that the process translates to a better, more inclusive democracy #Nigeruadecides2027
