Fans paid $1,000 for these Timeless Tickets in 2015, which is equivalent to $1,421 today. They were promised "best available seat," including World Series games.
The promotion was stupid. But if you offer it, you should fully live up to it.

Word of advice, Brewers: Don't tempt The Curse of the Timeless Ticket.
Two Kenosha brothers who paid $1,000 each for a Milwaukee Brewers "Timeless Ticket" more than a decade ago say the team isn't fully honoring the promise that came with it — the chance to sit in the best available seats for a game as big as the World Series.

I believe Illinois is the best team in the country this season, but I'm totally cool with the Illini not starting the season off at No. 1.
A big reason: No preseason No. 1 has won a national title since UNC in 2008-09. Better to start outside the top spot.
