One of my biggest hopes for next Chapter and my hopes are based on an actual Soft Reboot. I will take Chapter 2 as example in this Tweet, because it was one of the best, slow starts into an Chapter, that felt like a new Game. - A Fortnite Map that is, simple, but remember able. That means for me, POIs with an name that you can remember. That the Map feels like actual people are living there, means give us small town again, but let them actually be lifeable 😭 Chapter 2 had places, where u could feel people living there, u had enviorment, nothing too fancy, gas station every few miles, cities, wood chopper, etc. I would love an similar feeling for the next Chapter too and please, give us more time on the Island, i have no connection to any of the past Islands, because u got to spend ONE year on them only, with Chapter 7 was it not even one year 😭 - Give us time, take the pace out of the game for a moment, one big plus for me in Chapter 2 was, you could really inherit the first few weeks in the map, everything was peaceful and you could explore every little single corner, that was also a BIG part why it was so well to remember. - Threat, give us, either non or a small threat the first season. Let us arrive, build an relationship to the island, explore every little corner and actually feel sad when an POI gets destroyed. We arrived in Chapter 7 with THE VOYAGER and he destroyed the bus, he watched over us over the entire season and threatend us constantly, his presence made me feel like "oh okay, why should i build an connection to the island in the first place, when its gonna be destroyed in a few months again. Having us a small town threat, makes us fight against it, protecting our Island. For example, Chapter 2 had the whole, double identity Story going, it wasnt on the Island, but it was told through out the Loading Screens. Im not saying im prefering that over actual In-Game Events, but what i would love, is something small, something we as people can actually fight against, without any major Jonesy, Hope or The Foundation. Build tension over the course of the Seasons, make the threat bigger and not as presence, that builds up hype in the long term. God comparing the Events from Chapter 2, to now is not possible, its a QUALITY difference, but heck, i can remember every Event so well, because they were build up over months, weeks, YEARS. Did i love the Chapter 7 Season 2 Event? Hell yeah, probally top 3 of all time for me, but, well it didnt feel the same as Galactus, the Last Reality or The Device, but what they had was Character, i LOVED the plot twist AND the QUALITY in the C7S2 Event, plus the bad guys won the first time actually. - UI and Gamemode, i made a small Concept down below and i know im not the first one, but we need something that seperates Safe the World/Fortnite and Epic creations/UEFN because ive played with someone that never played Fortnite before and instead of what Fortnite wanted to happen, he was confused, overstimulated and just lost the appeal of even trying. Goddamn, the Modes are so badly designed and it doesnt help that 20 Brainrot Modes jump into your face when u first boot up the game 😭 - Battle Pass, OOOH thats always a scary one, probally because it resembels the entire Season and gonna be honest, something simple would do it. Give us an simple original Battle Pass with one FITTING collab and call it a day, wait, no actually not. Lets Roll that back again, give us an Battle Pass with Characters that REAPPEAR over the course of the ENTIRE chapter, with an Introducen to all of em, give us Characters that have a name, a personality. I can remember the whole cast of C2S2, because everyone had a personality, they had an life, you cant say that over most Battle Pass Skins today. Yea, as i said, make them REAPPEAR in the entire Chapter, so they are gonna be at our side for a year or two and make us remember them. - So, lengh, i know you guys at Epic headquarter love making the new Chapters 1 year long, not even 😭 But also here, take out the pace, let us be on this Island for 2 years or something, i have no motivation remembering the ENTIRE NEW MAP every YEAR, i cant name one location of this Chapter, Last Chapter or any of the Chapters after Chapter 3. - Sprites, ughh, hot topic, dont like touching that, i have burned myself by even thinking about it. And im honest, i like em, but i dont like how they are represented at the moment. They are unfinished saying the least. Give us one extraction mode, new mode, same BR map. You walk, you fight, you extract the sprites and at the end of the Match, u extract via the Battle Pass. Dont, please dont, make them part of the actual BR experience, i tried playing BR with someone who last played 2 years ago and was SO confused why everyone ran around trying to extract those rare ahh sprites and dont shot or play normally. Sprite Garden is its own topic, i like it and it resembles what sprites are supposed to be, there. Not more not less, they are there, they exist and shouldnt be more then that. See them like the Plants u have in the gardenhouse of Crazy Dave in PVZ, u have em, they look funny and thats it. Dont make us believe they are more then that 😭 OKAY THATS IT, NO HOT TOPIC ANYMORE UGHH - 3D Lobby. Give us 3D lobby and Battle Pass UI again. Make an seperate Tab for Quests ENTIERLY, i know its also a hot take, but take the one from Chapter 1 Season X, it was good, u could see the different Quests, without needing to navigate like Luke Skywalker through the Death Star and failing 30 times, because the UI is so buggy that u gonna get send back or you still the your Pet quests that u absolved 4 Seasons ago, but some fucking way are there still there 😭 - This is also more of an personal wish, then a community wish, but please let us give the option to download assets, i know many people can affort streaming every asset everytime, but some internet connection esspecially the ones that have 5 people in it and everyone uses the WIFI, that kills the connection SO fast 😭 - NEW FEATURES, one think that made Chapter 2 so new feeling were the features. Swimming, boats, ACTUAL LAKES, god, fishing, so much stuff you could do and everything made u feel integrated to the enviorment and i loved it, i felt like i was actually part of the new Island. The new Island now? It was okay! Im not saying im hating on Chapter 7, quite the opposite, i had so much fun, that i didnt had in long run in Fortnite, esspecially Season 1 and 2, but it still didnt have the feeling of an new Start. Thats what i adore Chapter 2 so much, it felt like a new game, by just changing it up. - Winterfest, yes its a BIG theme for the new Chapter and i hope that they bring us the feeling back of the cold themed season of winter in reallife into the game. When u come home, it cold outside, u sip some hot chocolate, what do i want in Fortnite? A cozy winter feeling, a feeling ive felt only in C1S7, C2S1 and C3S1. Those Seasons filled my heart with cozyness and directly made me love the winterfest to the brim, bringing back the same house to the game, doesnt feel the same anymore, make a new one, use an house, but remodel it. Make us feel like, we are arriving home, when we open the game to relax. Okay, i think thats everything for now, i hope i covered everything i wanted!
