NYT: Former aides describe angry and profane outbursts from Mary Peltola that were directed at aides and sometimes expressed about others who had displeased her.
In one instance, she shoved an aide, according to a former staff member who was present and two others who were told about it at the time.
Four former staff members said they directly heard her use the word “faggot” over the years, in some cases about her own staff members, an allegation the campaign denied.
She also used the word “retarded,” according to former aides and text messages viewed by The New York Times.

Smart to have Kamala campaigning with Abdul and talking about Black maternal health. Healthcare matters to everyday voters! He needs to continue building enthusiasm with Black voters, and like it or not, dropping Kamala over there is definitely a way to grab their attention.

He was White House Correspondents’ Association president while I worked in the press office for Biden, so we’ve had this conversation from opposite sides. Doesn’t matter what side of the aisle you are on…access to the president cannot depend on whether he likes the coverage.

The Kennedy Center is a big hit with the “No Kings” crowd, but I don’t think people outside of that really care. Trump throwing a fit about getting his name on a performing arts center is ridiculous. Cover it! But why are we talking about it like it’s the most important thing happening in America???
Do you think people trying to figure out how to feed their family is sitting around worried about this?! Be serious. I would be shocked if candidates running in competitive races made the Kennedy Center their big example of Trump’s overreach. There is plenty to talk about that actually touches people’s lives.
Love the KC, but this issue is truly for a certain generation.
