It’s time for Islamabad to welcome its winter guests. Yesterday, I spotted a Grey Wagtail in F-9 Park; today, I saw Hume’s Warblers in the neighbourhood park. Grey Wagtails descend from mountain breeding grounds, including the Himalayas, to spend winter at lower elevations, while Hume’s Warblers arrive from breeding grounds across the mountains of Central Asia and the Himalayan region. I’m still waiting—and hoping—for last year’s little visitor to return to the tree outside my bedroom window. (Photos from Web)
