Robert Jenrick reminds BBC Radio 4 of the paedophiles they’ve employed while they lecture Reform on vetting. 🔥
On this morning’s Today programme, Jenrick was pressed over the ITV undercover footage and Reform’s candidate checks.
His response was straightforward: there is only so far any organisation can go. You can examine someone’s social media, try to recover deleted posts, review their CV, and meet them in person, but you cannot run a completely foolproof process that rules out problems emerging later.
He then turned the point back on the BBC itself, asking whether it could guarantee no presenter would ever be exposed as a paedophile in the future, given that a number have been in the recent past.
Of course it can’t. The same limits that apply to political parties apply to everyone else, including the organisation currently doing the lecturing.
Great response
