stay Ukrainian my friends

russians killed this child aged 1 year today in a park with shahed strike. Another 11-year-old kid was killed in the same park and attack in Kharkiv region on October 19, 2026. There are no words to describe their crimes again and again against Ukrainians and our kids. They don’t want peace, and what they really need to be stopped forever committing these barbarous crimes - is justice. And punishment for their invasion and numerous war crimes. There were concrete people in russia who launched that shahed, who killed as a result this baby and his family. And our state will find them all one day and bring to justice. Does anyone in the world still remember this word and its meaning at all?

Yesterday, the Russians carried out one of their largest attacks on Ukraine’s energy sector – more than 15 critical power generation and transmission facilities were targeted across different regions of Ukraine. Restoration work is ongoing, with all necessary services and all available resources of Ukrainian energy companies involved. I thank everyone working practically nonstop to restore power. The most difficult situation was in Lutsk, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Shepetivka, Slavuta, and Netishyn. Energy facilities in the Kharkiv, Kyiv, Dnipro, and other regions were also hit. The Russians have scaled up their anti-energy operation and are trying to stretch our reserves and repair capabilities as thin as possible. Between 7 p.m. yesterday and 7 a.m. today alone, more than 320 jet-powered and gasoline-powered “shaheds,” along with loitering munitions, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles, were used against our energy sector, our cities, and our communities. And although our warriors are shooting down a significant number of them, the sheer scale and unrelenting pace of Russia’s strikes, specifically against our energy sector, are unfortunately having severe consequences. It is important that our European partners have already prepared new support packages for Ukraine. I am grateful to them for this. And it is important that everyone in America also sees what is really happening. At a time when the Russians have carried out such a massive attack on our energy sector, a decision was unfortunately made in America to completely disregard the Lindsey Graham Act, which was supposed to impose truly effective pressure on Russia to bring this war to an end. This Act could have helped enormously – and still can! But it needs to actually work, and every voice in support of it matters. Russia is trying to cause a blackout in Ukraine – right before winter. Russia is trying to leave millions of our people without electricity and heating. Pressure is needed to stop this. A U.S. sanctions blackout, easing pressure on the aggressor, financial rewards for Putin – all of this only encourages him to keep attacking. We must not give up ground. We must keep trying to end the war. To end it, not give Putin every reason to continue it indefinitely. I thank everyone who is truly fighting for peace and helping Ukraine!

For idiots w/either short memory or lack of historical curiosity/sophistication, a reminder that Sadam w/U.S. support invaded S. Iran in 1980 to grab a contested area thinking that it would be a "matter of days" w/an Iran "weakened" by the revolution. The war ended 8 y later.

This Trump / Russia deal is a distraction. Russia has little to no diesel to export to the US. They were importing from South Korea a month ago and any surplus would go to the 'stan countries first. The whole point is to gradually erode sanctions targeting Russia to pave the way for Trump's inner circle to invest on favorable terms in currently sanctioned Russian businesses. Witkoff made no mystery about it. I'm thinking Arctic oil & gas plus Siberian mining. Some meetings happened in Miami recently with Witkoff, Kuchner and Russian oligarchs and siloviks. The Belarus fertilizer deal is another sham, with the same underlying motive. They will betray anything and everything as long as they can line up their pockets.
South Korea shipped more than 176,000 tonnes of fuel, mostly diesel, to Russia in July and August, according to a Guardian analysis of port and ship-tracking data. Seven tankers made 14 voyages to Russia’s far east, including three vessels sanctioned by the UK and EU. Some ships declared destinations such as Japan or Singapore before sailing to Vladivostok, while one received fuel through a ship-to-ship transfer off South Korea. In August, Russia imported 368,000 tonnes of oil products by sea — the highest monthly total since the full-scale invasion — with South Korea supplying 112,000 tonnes, or 31%. Source: The Guardian

Frustrstion and anger in Kyiv tonight over Trump's diesel deal with Putin. Zelenskyy blasts Trump, calling the move "weak." A senior Ukrainian official tells me Kyiv will continue its long-range drone strikes on Russia's energy facilities "We will burn their refineries."

It was right during Russia’s ballistic attack on Kyiv today that we spoke with the President of France. Thank you, Emmanuel, for your support. The need for additional air defense packages for Ukraine is evident, and we are working with all our partners to secure the necessary decisions. Unfortunately, the threat of further missile strikes remains particularly high in the coming days. It is important to step up pressure on Russia in response, and bold, joint steps must be taken. We discussed the challenges posed by the easing of sanctions on oil products. The Russians must feel that they will have no capacity left to prolong the war. We are coordinating substantively and preparing meetings. Thank you, France! @EmmanuelMacron

The US view: One person familiar with the talks said the US relationship with Ukraine had been improving but Kyiv’s resistance to stopping the strikes had left a bad taste in Trump’s mouth. Despite the tensions, the negotiators in Miami had worked on a peace proposal that could be sent to Russia before the winter, the person said. In Friday’s meeting, Witkoff and Kushner informed their Ukrainian counterparts that the US was poised to lift sanctions on Russian diesel and that Moscow intended to lift its export ban… And the Ukraine view: A senior Ukrainian official said the move had “ruin[ed] the trust completely” between the two sides. w/ @JamesPoliti @ak_mack ft.com/content/7fd4dffc-8adf…

Another strike on a Russian oil refinery in Omsk – one of the major refineries – as well as on the Ukhta oil refinery, 1,900 kilometers from Ukraine’s state border. The target in Ukhta was hit by An-196 RS drones, which can fly about 2,500 kilometers, while FP-6 drones (modified FP-1s) were used against the Omsk refinery the day before. We continue to respond to Russia’s attacks on Ukraine, and we’re doing so with high precision. Another data center was hit as well – our symmetrical response. An important display of accuracy by our warriors. Glory to Ukraine!

Today, Ukrainians light candles for those killed by a russian missile in Pryluky yesterday. At least 22 people, including five children. Entire families killed in an instant. As Ukraine mourns, russia’s terror continues. Today, a russian glide bomb struck two public buses in Kramatorsk, killing at least 33 people and injuring 18 more. Passengers and pedestrians caught in an ordinary morning that became their last. There is barely time to mourn before more families face the same unbearable loss. We remember those killed. And we demand action for those still living under attack: more air defense and interceptors for Ukraine, urgent defense support, and stronger sanctions to cut off the money funding russia’s war. No family should have to wait for the world to act while their loved ones are being killed. #RUSSIAISATERRORISTSTATE Speak up. Share. Stand with Ukraine. Urge your elected representatives to turn condemnation into action.
