Using @240pTest , I also tested PCM RAM to find that all tests were failing. Replacing the PCM RAM did not fix it, so I put the originals back and began probing. I found two address signals that were severed and patched them up - PCM worked fine afterward.

@240pTest indicated that the Sub CPU couldn't start, so I probed around and found that the AS signal wasn't reaching its intended destination. Patching that got the BIOS to start showing, but it was still throwing a fault since the logos were still absent.

It's PERFECT GEOMETRY's anniversary!📺💕 4 years ago, I posted this piece as a thank you to those behind the @240pTest Suite. A piece that opened many doors for me and brought me closer to the retro gaming community. ❤️💚💙 🎁⤵️

I'm into the idea of a larger gamut as a container for various phosphor gamuts. SMPTE-C and "JAPAN" here have elements outside of both sRGB and Rec709, though their differences to each other are the most pronounced. Ikegami mentions "NHK Phosphors" these are ARIB/MUSE/HiVision.

I've decided to share my experience in porting MDFourier to PowerPC Macs, outlining the whole process and all the challenges I had to overcome. Spoilers: it wasn't easy and it wasn't fun. Although, in the end, it was definitely satisfying. donluca.theclassicgamer.net/…

One of my absolute favorite DC apps. It's not only useful to gamers and end-users, but also to use SDK developers working on KallistiOS... the thing is like a full-fledged regression test-suite of most of our drivers, and he has been gracious enough to up-port to the latest toolchains and KOS versions and to retest things and look for bugs for us... Highly recommended to anyone who owns a DC as a gamer OR developer.

Bam! 6270 was the culprit! Thanks for all for the help. It was a great learning experience and all your help saved another a TG16. Amazing community.

Sure enough, @240pTest revealed D11 to be the culprit! Now the BIOS was loading, but the CD drive didn’t seem to be working.

Thanks to @BucketMouseBite’s convenient board, I finally made my own up-to-date @240pTest cartridge!

Day 1 in the New CRT Shop. Who's ready to solder?

Next came the scary part, the calibration!! Adjustments need to be made while the TV is running so there’s live charge going through the components! Using the @240pTest Megadrive version, this software displays test patterns for the purpose of calibrating the TV.

With the help of Artemio, I have spent the last couple of weeks in improving the sound signal chain in the CPS core. Expanding this to cover all cores is taking some extra effort. Stay tune for a massive core update, likely next week.
