SHOT IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD, BURNED AND DUMPED IN A DUMPSTER. HE WAS 13.
Ja'Quarrious Rodgers, 13, of Monroe, LA, was reported missing. He was found the same weekend in a West Monroe dumpster with a gunshot wound to the skull and burns.
Joshua Darnell Swan, 23, allegedly drove him and 3 other kids to a field off Buckhorn Bend to shoot guns.
Witnesses say Swan walked up behind the boy while he was looking down at a gun and fired one round into his head.
Swan allegedly told the other kids he'd kill them if they "snitched."
Per the affidavit, Swan admitted the shooting. He claimed the boy had threatened him, then tried to burn the body and evidence and dumped him in West Monroe.
He's charged with second-degree murder and held on a $1M bond.
His next court date is Dec. 8.
Ja'Quarrious would have turned 14 on Nov. 30.
