To be fair, what band of citizens could combat the full weight of the US military no matter how many guns they had…fighter jets, tanks, drones, and aircraft carriers vs handheld guns? c’mon

Based on New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Ireland, etc. I guess America will then provide universal healthcare, guaranteed maternity/paternity leave, a liveable minimum wage, paid vacations, separation of church and state...etc., etc. I think you'll like it Brigitte.

Okay they said nothing about disarming it's called background check do you know what that means it's checking to make sure you don't have any criminal activity waiting until you're 21 instead of 18 you have to be 21 to drink alcohol duh it's not that f****** hard to understand.

Ooh! I know!! Provide universal healthcare, affordable housing, mental health services including addiction recovery, create high quality step-down programs for people coming out of jail, good public schools, free college…I could go on.

That isn’t the way it works anywhere in the world where democracy is in place. You know it and if you don’t, educate yourself.

Obviously the people armed are already doing whatever they want. Gun legislation here is a joke and needs reform. Much like yourself.

Paranoid delusion. As a gun owner, I’m so tired of hearing this imaginary fear mongering garbage. No serious person is pushing to disarm the citizens of this country. Sane gun regulation is not an infringement.

Regulating access to dangerous weapons is assumed in the Second Amendment. It is not disarming the citizenry. Failure to regulate access to dangerous weapons kills innocent children.

Wow.. that's a weird question because no one is disarming citizens. How did you get from some sensible gun laws to total disarming??? Don't you think it should be harder for an 18 yr old to purchase a gun than cigarettes or a beer. Raising minimum gun ownership age & red flag law

If you think an AR-15 will stop the might of the United States Government, you're not paying attention to Ukraine. Why do you think Ukraine is asking for antitank rockets? The rifle is great against Peace Officers, Teachers, Doctors, and 10 year olds. Tanks, not so much.

You are correct. It didn't help the people of Germany during the 30's. Problem is no one now cares or even believes in what happened in our history so they will bound to re live it.

Concentrate on the standard of living, health and finance. All the things governments do when people aren’t killing themselves or each other!

Show me where this has happened to another country with no mass guns in every cupboard in your house. Which government has been your example?

STOP TRYING TO SPIN THE SITUATION. GUN REFORM, IS NOT ABOUT TAKING AWAY YOUR GUNS... IT'S ABOUT IMPROVING BACKGROUND CHECKS, RAISING THE AGE LIMIT, RED FLAG LAWS, ETC. MAJORITY OF AMERICANS, WANT BETTER GUN CONTROL IN THIS COUNTRY.

I've never seen anyone enter a Tim Horton's with a rifle here in Canada. Because we don't feel the need to do so.

According to your “side,” it’s already doing anything it wants. Also, no one is or has ever suggested disarming the public.

It’s a good thing that’s not what is happening. At least not in its entirety. As a society there needs to be some work done so we are not the ones at the top of the mass shootings ratings. We can make this better and better educate people about making decisions and about guns
