Are members being put first? Do they understand the support available to them? Is the Federation better at fighting for them?

Policing Minister posts this, with no consideration for the custody staff and the impact on their lives.
But nothing on the two on-duty @ClevelandPolice officers tragically killed overnight.
Very sad to hear that a man passed away in police custody in Croydon. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
The IOPC is now conducting an independent investigation into the circumstances of his death - I will be closely monitoring its outcome.

We have decided the @metpoliceuk officer who fatally shot Chris Kaba will not face a gross misconduct hearing. The decision follows the Government's recent law change to the use of force test in misconduct cases.

Watch as police officers confront a man suspected of carrying out a terrorist attack in north London where two men were stabbed.
The suspect refused to show his hands, was violent and continued to pose a clear threat. Using only their training, courage and tasers, they detained him while he continued to try to attack and stab them. This took true courage.

Yeah right. Where is our right to strike? Let us then.
I believe in workers’ right to strike.
But the strikes next week planned by resident doctors should not happen, they place the NHS and patients who need it in grave danger.
A fair deal is on the table. My message to doctors is simple: take it.
