this is why you stagger days off. but here's the trick no one tells you
if im cracked out monday and work 12 hours thats a normal day. but if i do another 12 hours because of the caffeine...well now im running circles around you.
But
If I do ANOTHER 12 hours in that day....its a whole different ballgame. Rest the next day, boom back on caffeine the day after. In one week I've worked 6 full days straight (144 hours) while a normal person is working 40.
It's over.
There was this genre of post that was really popular on money twitter around 2021-2022
"I quit caffeine for a week and here's what I noticed:
- Nothing got done
- I feel like shit
- wife cheated on me
- Dog shits on my carpet regularly now
Worst mistake of my life. I'm having TEN CUPS tomorrow!"
I never agreed with them. Every time I've started drinking coffee has been the exact same thing: day one feels good, day two is okay, and after that its either normal or net negative.
That's fine, I just have a different response to coffee than other people. Nothing super weird about that, I disagree with tons of other meme health posts on here
The weird part is that I literally NEVER saw anyone voicing an opinion that agreed with my experience. Almost always there will be someone describing an effect of a drug that I subjectively agree with, but with coffee just 100% of all tweets were saying "this is the greatest thing ever and quitting ruins your life"
Pretty bizarre. Glad we got over that one
