A U.S. citizen was left bloodied and injured after immigration agents mistook him for a fugitive in Evanston, Illinois, according to local police.
Police said agents tried to handcuff the man after he refused to provide identification. They released him after determining he was not the person they were seeking. The man was taken to a hospital with injuries to his head, neck and teeth.
In a statement to CBS News, the Department of Homeland Security said that "ICE encountered an individual who resembled the target. ICE approached the individual and immediately identified themselves as law enforcement. The individual was given lawful commands but was not cooperative and refused to identify himself. ICE officers relied on their training and later left the scene without further incident once the individual finally identified himself."

This includes implementing a lot more AI to automate tasks and new, healthy menu items like grilled chicken, egg bites and protein bowls.

I think that's an OK description of LLMs from 3 years ago, but a poor one now. A lot of this changed with the introduction of the reasoning models. I don't even think Sam/Dario know *exactly* what their products do but it's a lot more robust than "predicting the next token."

"AI agents" have no actual agency of their own. They are borrowing yours. YOU are responsible for their actions. An "AI agent" (which is nothing but a bunch of linear algebra you have decided to trust) cannot be sued or criminally charged. YOU can be, and YOU are responsible.
