He thanked President Barzani for his engagement with all the key leaders in the region and for supporting President Trump’s effort to secure a lasting resolution in Operation Epic Fury. The Kurdish Peshmerga helped defeat ISIS. That partnership will continue.

No victim should have to continuously return to court to ask for protection from the individual who has been convicted of violating them. Victims everywhere matter, they are worth fighting for, and I will always fight for them. Because no one should have to endure the hell that I have had to walk in. I’m grateful for the unanimous passage in the house, and I am prayerful that The Senate will act and pass this bill, so we can get it to the president’s desk and ensure that victims have the permanent protection that they deserve.
