One of my favorite parts of this campaign has been the opportunity to meet so many people across our state. Recently, I was honored to meet Rose Warner, who just celebrated her 100th birthday! Rose is a lifelong athlete who was the first Black woman collegiate referee in the 1960s. As Attorney General, I’ll work closely with the Elder Abuse Unit to raise awareness about elder abuse and protect our seniors.

I’m proud to endorse @AhernForAG to be Rhode Island’s next Attorney General. Kim and I both got our start at the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office, where we worked side by side for many years. I saw firsthand her commitment to justice and fairness, her integrity, and the sound judgment she brought to the job. I know Kim as an attorney, a prosecutor, a public servant, and a friend. She knows the Attorney General’s Office from the inside and understands the enormous responsibility that comes with leading it. She understands that the job requires independence, sound judgment, and a commitment to the fair and impartial administration of justice while protecting the people of Rhode Island. Kim also brings experience well beyond the courtroom. Having served at senior levels of state government under two governors, she has the executive experience to lead the office and knows how to work with the General Assembly to advocate for legislation that makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives. That combination of courtroom experience, firsthand knowledge of the Attorney General’s Office, and executive leadership makes Kim exceptionally well prepared to serve as our next Attorney General. Running for office is no small feat. It takes hard work, long hours, and time away from family & friends.
