Complete and utter weirdos. Who thinks it is in any way appropriate to protest outside a representative body of British Jews on the anniversary of the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.
We are outside the Board of Deputies HQ where people are protesting about the organisation's lobbying for Israel and Zionism, and it's propping up of the genocide of the Palestinian people. 📽️ @cutebritboy94

Today we remember the victims of the October 7 massacre – the killing of innocent Israeli people, the torture, mutilation, rape and kidnapping, parading of the dead, the wanton cruelty and the depraved celebrations of murder, the gleeful delight in brutality, the degeneracy of its perpetrators and supporters. It is a day that stands out for its unparalleled sadism and nihilism. The scale of the killing of people of all sorts, all races, Jewish and Arab and others, is unequalled in a single day in modern times. It was the greatest murder of Jewish people since the Holocaust. Its cruelty and barbarism seem to belong to cruel times long ago – this was a lurch back to the raids and slaughters of the Mongols or the Huns - but it is unique too in its 21stcentury hi-tech modernity: it was filmed live by its perpetrators and other cameras and so unlike any other atrocity in all of human history, its details are beyond question. It is the most documented butchery and sadism ever perpetrated – and therefore the reactions to it are simply the clearest and most unequalled test of humanity available to us, reactions that will be remembered in the future. It was also a crime against peace: its effects were utterly destructive for Israelis but also for Palestinians and the innocent people across the whole region who perished in the wars it unleashed. More than that, it was an atrocity against humanity itself - and the humanist values that mark all decent people, the values of liberal, free, kind societies and communities everywhere. Its effects were utterly destructive for Israelis but also for the Palestinians and the rest of the region. Today we remember those who died, those who were wounded, those who were kidnapped, tortured, raped and killed in the tunnels of Gaza, those who lost friends and compatriots. It was a crime of annihilation to launch the liquidation of an entire people and nation, to kill and torture Israelis and Jews. Am Yisrael Chai.

Thinking today of all killed & injured at the Nova festival but particularly of Erick & Ruth Peretz. Ruth had cerebral palsy & learning disability & loved music so Erick her Dad would lift her from her chair & dance with her. When the terrorists came Erick was last seen running with Ruth in his arms. (Pictured here with Yamit Peretz who survived only as she had left the festival earlier.)

Among those murdered on 7 October were British and British-Israeli citizens. We will remember 7 October. We will remember those we lost. And we will never forget those who stood with us.

Today is the time to remember all those murdered, brutalised, taken hostage on October 7th.
Three years ago Hamas terrorists launched a premeditated slaughter of innocent Israeli citizens, unleashing an explosion of violent antisemitism worldwide. As we remember the victims of 10/7, we must all recommit to confronting anti-Jewish hate wherever it appears.

Today marks three years since October 7th 2023 - the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust. On that day, Hamas terrorists unleashed a wave of barbaric violence, murdering more than 1,200 innocent men, women and children, and taking 251 people hostage. We remember all those murdered. May their memory be a blessing.

7 October. Thinking of aĺl the victims tortured & murdered three years ago. The extreme violence towards women confirmed the misogyny at the heart of Islamist terror. Solidarity with British Jews on this terrible anniversary.

Zionism is both historic and spiritual; the ancient connection of the Jewish people to the land of Israel and their right to self-determination in their historic homeland. I am British by birth, belonging and love; Jewish by inheritance, memory and faith. Britain is my country. Israel is not a competing loyalty, it is the homeland of the Jewish people to which I am bound by ancestry, memory and identity. For millions of Jews, that is the heart of Zionism. Not supremacy, dispossession or the killing of Palestinians and not a colonial claim to a foreign land but the self-determination of a people with an ancient and continuous connection to it. In practice, it must mean two peoples entitled to self-determination both living in security and freedom with neither people’s future purchased with the lives, rights or humanity of the other. That is why declaring “Zionism is racism” is not merely wrong, it tells most Jews that their understanding of their own history, identity and collective freedom is itself morally suspect. The Greens should ask themselves whom they are trying to please by adopting a slogan that turns Jewish self-determination into a moral stain. If your politics of inclusion requires millions of Jews to renounce a central part of their history and identity before they qualify for your solidarity, it isn’t inclusion. You are telling Jews: you may belong here but only if you disown Israel as the homeland of the Jewish people. That is not anti-racism. It is imposing a political test on Jews that no genuinely progressive movement would dream of imposing on any other minority.

This beautiful family, kidnapped and murdered by evil terrorists.
They were stolen. And instead of speaking for them, the world ripped posters of them down and drew swastikas on their faces 🧡

This is a sickness
As per the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign’s website, there will be at least 16 anti-Israel events held across the island of Ireland on the anniversary of the October 7th massacre. I am particularly saddened to see one such event in my hometown of Dún Laoghaire, which is also the hometown of the father of Emily Hand, the 8-year-old child abducted by Hamas. You can protest against Israel all you like. But it goes against all semblance of human decency to attend a protest (or any anti-Israel event) on October 7th. The very date three years ago that approximately 1,200 people in Israel were slaughtered, 251 people were taken hostage, and women and girls were raped by Hamas butchers. Going out of your way to attend an anti-Israel event on an anniversary dedicated to honouring murdered Israeli victims just serves to expose you for who you really are. Someone filled with sadistic malice who hides behind the language of social justice to inflict your self-righteous cruelty.

Wow. @Ross_Greer on @BBCRadioScot states clearly that ‘Zionism is racism’. The Jewish community in Scotland will be appalled by this. No mainstream political party in Scotland should now have anything to do with the extremist anti-Semitic @scottishgreens.

If Labour want proportional representation, who are they planning on entering coalition government with then now the Greens have gone totally nuts? Surely Lab-Lib Dems not enough.
Mainstream parties need to maintain a firewall against antisemitism. The Greens have put themselves on the wrong side of it through their grotesque decision to define Zionism, which is simply the belief that Israel should exist and that Jewish people have a right to national self-determination, as being racist. I hope the electorate will react by pushing them into political oblivion, but there are no circumstances where Labour or any other mainstream party can share power with a party professing an ideology that breaches the IHRA definition of antisemitism.

Listen carefully to the author of the Green Party motion. Listen as she describes the need to hunt Zionists in every country, using force. This is a racist, extremist party now.
“We will continue until we dismantle Zionism from the world, from every country. They will be shunned and that time will come when they are hunted in the same way as the Nazi oppressors were…It won’t happen without force…” Green Party member & motion proposer Lubna Speitan

What does it mean to say that Zionism is racism? It means relate to Zionists as you relate to Nazis. But don't forget you should find out if the Jew you have in mind is Zionist; if they repeat your scripted confession, they can have exceptional status and be treated as human.
This is what will come next with the Green Party. "Zionists" must be "hunted down in the same way as the Nazis". How exactly? By “force”. That's the raging antisemite Lubna Speitan, whose hate motion passed today. From a melee with the police at Woolwich Crown Court in June, for the cause of racist vandals.

It seems as if Manchester Life - the favourite property contractor of Andy Burnham and Manchester Labour - is paying some very high ‘admin expenses’ to off-shore companies on its huge rent receipts here. The effect of this is, of course, to limit the amount of tax paid in the UK.
How much tax do Manchester Life Management Company pay? (the UK company owned by Abu Dhabi controlled Jersey companies + that collects rental income) Between 2019-2025 the company turnover is £46,857,891, the admin expenses £46,366,004 and the total tax on profit paid £112,316

Those of you who have, like me, knocked about on the Left for years, will recognize many of the anti-Zionists who have turned up in the GP. The same names and faces expelled from the Labour party, ex UCU activists, soixante-huitards from IS. There are new recruits but also the odd notorious Antisemite. This will be a victory night for them. And a devastating night for environmentalism
