Why are you quiet about #Algorand's use in the Italian banking system?
It's crazy that pretty much no one outside the $ALGO space is aware of this use yet (probably lots within the community are unaware), when any other chain has an announcement that it may be used by some bank or asset manager, the whole blockchain space is buzzing?
#Algorand is very much used in Italy. Unfortunately unluke QNT who has its founder promotes UK banking achievements, Algorand has no one to spread arguably bigger news/market...😶🌫️

🧩 William, Algorand’s new CEO, is answering direct questions on Reddit.
In at least 3 of his answers, he’s made one thing very clear: self-sustainability is the priority.
Yeah, that might sound basic: "A business needs to make money."
But after 6 years of the Foundation relying heavily on selling $ALGO to fund operations, while having a whole business department paid every month with very few tangible revenue-generating results to show for it, this matters.
Reading William say, again and again, that his first focus is making Algorand self-sustainable and reducing that dependency on selling $ALGO makes me f*cking happy.

There is very little left not to like about $ALGO at this point:
1️⃣ Painfully bad early tokenomics are firmly behind us, with only ~9% of total max supply left to enter circulation.
2️⃣ While other blockchains are just starting to think about quantum resistance, Algorand is firmly the leader in this space, with the best people in place to stay that way. Algorand’s premier quantum security expert is Professor Chris Peikert, who serves as the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO). He is widely recognised as a global authority in lattice-based and post-quantum cryptography (PQC).
3️⃣ Very few, if any, blockchains can come close to Algorand regarding its decentralisation, coupled with its instant finality and no ability to fork or reorganise its transactions, while at the same time being able to handle 10k+ TPS irrespective of tx type.

President of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde announces The ECB is launching Pontes today, a platform that will connect private blockchain networks with the TARGET system, allowing banks to settle tokenized assets directly in central bank money.
“It's digital euro made available for banks,” the ECB says, allowing institutions to transact using tokenized assets and DLT “faster, without friction," she adds.
Pontes is the first step toward the ECB’s broader Appia ecosystem for tokenized financial markets, while consumer-facing digital euro testing is planned for mid-2027.

1️⃣ "AI agentic payments" and "agentic payments" are not the same;
- Agentic payment: A deterministic software program. For example, if inventory drops below 10 units, trigger a bank wire to Supplier A for exactly £500. No intelligence is used; it is simply automated execution.
- AI agentic payment: This relies on real-time reasoning. For example, a Google Gemini model or an AI agent evaluates 50 different data streams in milliseconds, notices a sudden spike in cloud server latency, and decides to autonomously deploy 15 fractions-of-a-cent micro-payments to purchase immediate compute power from 10 different providers.
