Fun fact: This is an antisemitic tweet both under the IHRA and the Jerusalem Declaration definitions of antisemitism
The "don't conflate Israel and diaspora Jews" gambit is pure extortion. It invites diaspora Jews to seek safety by condoning -and even validating- terrorist violence against Israel. It's an offer to spurn. Of course we're conflated, proudly so. youtube.com/watch?v=qVymo7Qr…

Fun fact: This is an almost impressively stupid reading of both definitions. Neither says Jews are forbidden from identifying themselves with Israel. They prohibit others from holding Jews responsible for Israel simply because they are Jews. Those are completely different propositions.

Frum is a man without a party in the USA, and a man without a country in Canada. His opinions and ideas are as cooked as the War on Terror. For a man who has suffered so much personal tragedy, it’s rather pathetic he insists on building strawmen. The world has moved on.

Webster defines conflate as to blend or confuse. Frum could be reasonably read to be saying here that he is proud to be confused. Which tracks.
