All LEGAL immigrants share her story. Mine was the same.. escaping govt tyranny, the wait in line, the requirements including health certification that you're not bringing in to the USA any 3rd world disease
the time to wait, the expense, the pangs of worry whether you'd be approved by the US Embassy during your interview
that's why I am so against illegals. How dare the previous presidents let them jump to the front of the line as if there weren't many in line?
One more of my beef with the old system prior to Pres Trump:
When I swore in as a Naturalized, I had to sign a piece of paper swearing that we [all those going thru same] will provide for our daily lives, that WE WILL NOT BURDEN THE TAXPAYERS OF THIS COUNTRY with our upkeep, we had to swear than we won't get into any social welfare anything..
nowadays- we all know what this govt shutdown is all about, correct?
The Dems want to give illegals ALL BENEFITS that I swore to not take advantage of when I raised my hand in oath to become a citizen.
We also had to make sure we understood English so that we can function AND ASSIMILATE INTO the society we came to belong to.
Most Asians, as this young lady, came to America to BELONG, not propagate our own tribes, unlike the moslems,
unlike the Hispanics we see right now, we worked and never demanded.
We were quiet in our perseverance to realize the American Dream. Nose to the grinder.
I don't know about others, I did realize my American Dream.
