An implied threat, ramping up tensions @PoliceServiceNI. Time this guy was scooped (again).
Residents groups gathered this afternoon on the Garvaghy Road as the Drumcree parade dispute continues. The message after those talks contained a warning to the Orange Order over the future parade agreements right across Northern Ireland.

Well well well, if the sectarian puppet in middle is not flanked left and right by IRA terrorists Brendan McKenna and Gerard Rice.... Two bigots who have for decades been leading the same script #NoGoingBack But the history book on the shelf is always is repeating itself 🙄

The IRA pensioners brigade threatening other parades would do well to get competent legal advice, which should start with para (29) of the High Court judgment. If they did, they would realise just how bad things are for them. The starting point now is parade organisers have a presumption in their favour to chose their location (fundamentally altering the way parading has been approached for three decades). Once they understand this, they will see how bonkers (on their part) it is to start threatening other parading ‘accommodations’.

They have a lawful right to walk down the Garvaghy Road. Neither Sinn Fein nor Gerry Adams determines who walks where. There are many unwanted things foisted upon local communities, Irish language signs being only one. 35 Orangemen will walk down Garvaghy Road peacefully.
Gerry Adams visiting the Garvaghy Road today to show his continued support for the residents. There can be no unwanted orange march down the Garvaghy road. The British Secretary of State must step in now and stop this march. There is no going back. Not now. Not ever.

This is the contagion issue. @PoliceServiceNI this protest is growing. A failure to adequately deal with the Garvaghy Road illegality means it is now considered acceptable elsewhere. Loyalists and Unionist have given the PSNI space to deal with the situation, but anger will grow.
Representatives from 11 nationalist residents' groups are meeting with the Garvaghy Road Residents Coalition about concerns over Drumcree. They have all signed a letter to say if the OO insist on parading down the GR agreements over other contentious parades could 'unravel'.

OCTOBER 7, 2023: SHE KNEW SHE WAS GOING TO DIE. Libi Cohen-Meguri, a 22-year-old infantry officer, went to the Nova music festival. She was shot while fleeing the party. At 8:11 a.m., she called her parents and said: “I’ve been shot in the stomach, I’ve been shot in the arm, I’m losing blood. I’m going to die.” Calmly, quietly, she understood; these were the last minutes of her life. She asked her parents to call Tomer, her twin brother, and Maya, her little sister, and said: “I’m going to die. I just want you to listen to me. I love you, Yariv. You’re the best father I could have asked for. Mom, stop screaming. Just listen to me. You are the best mother we could have ever had. Don’t forget to be a good mother to Tomer and Maya after I die. Tomer, how lucky we were to live this life together. I love you. My Maya, never forget—you are the treasure of my life.” When she finished speaking, her parents told her to get out of the car, lie down on the road, and pretend to be dead. With her last bit of strength, she got out of the car and laid down on the road. “Mom, they’re coming to shoot me again,” Libi said after lying down. While her mother listened on the phone, shouts in Arabic could be heard, and then a barrage of gunfire. It didn’t stop. It kept going, until the call was disconnected. And that’s how Libi died—with demonic beasts from the pit of hell standing over her and emptying a full magazine into her body. Libi died with LOVE on her lips: love for life, love for her family, and love for her people. Her memory will forever be a blessing. NEVER FORGET. NEVER FORGIVE. NEVER AGAIN IS NOW. Israel is hunting down every single Palestinian and Hamas terrorist who participated in the October 7th Massacre—to kill them all. They’re living on “borrowed time,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said. Sooner or later, every one of these monsters will be found and eliminated.

Talking to a French coastguard contact (Gus) today - his English not perfect but the point was clear: So I looked it up he's right! ♦️♦️♦️♦️♦️ Under UN Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and UNCLOS, the duty of a coastal state is to STOP overcrowded, unseaworthy vessels leaving its ports. 👇👇👇👇👇👇 If such a vessel is at sea and a French vessel is the first to it, the duty is to take it back to the nearest safe port - which is France. It is NOT the duty of the UK to then take over the chaperoning of an unsuitable vessel across the Channel. Stop them at the point of departure. Return them to France if intercepted by French assets. That's what maritime safety law actually says. It's all in The UN document 👇👇👇👇 SOLAS Article 98 /Chapter V

In ‘defending’ the Northern Catholic population the Provos also sent more of them to the grave than the SAS, UDR, SS RUC and British Army. Meanwhile, Provo leaders protected themselves with a Top Man Agreement with both the UDA and the NIO to protect senior figures in all 3

What an utterly fecking despicable post. Remembering the innocent people murdered by Hamas on October 7 is entirely legitimate. Their deaths don’t need to be cheapened by dragging the north’s dead into a point-scoring exercise against the south And if you’re going to invoke the Sutton Index, perhaps don’t cherry-pick two organisations and pretend you’ve just explained the Troubles, ffs seriously? Catholics were murdered by the IRA. That is an undeniable and shameful part of our history. Catholics were also deliberately murdered in large numbers by the UVF, UDA and other loyalist organisations, while members of the British security forces were responsible for deaths too. The Sutton Index exists precisely because the human cost was vastly more complicated than a meme to point score More importantly, what exactly has any of that got to do with the Ireland football team in 2026? Ireland’s players weren’t wearing armbands celebrating the IRA. They wore black armbands “in recognition of all lives lost in the conflict” in Gaza. Israel’s players wore theirs for those murdered on October 7. Both sets of victims can be mourned without turning either into ammunition for another political argument. Trying to answer concern for Palestinian civilians with “but the Provos killed Catholics” isn’t the devastating gotcha you apparently think it is ffs I’m Irish. I can condemn the IRA’s murder of innocent people. I can condemn Hamas’s murder of innocent people on October 7. I can condemn loyalist murder of innocent people during the Troubles. And I can condemn the killing of Palestinian civilians. There is no contradiction whatsoever. The dead of NI deserve considerably more respect than being dug up decades later to score points against a football team. Jeysus do better pal

How can Sinn Fein and nationalism in general plausibly stand over their aggressive Irish language policy of imposing signs given the so-called principles they have set out over the Garvaghy Road?

Unfortunately now we have the "garvaghy road residents" on the street now Throwing around sectarian and misogynistic abuse, breaking the law and bringing unrepentant convicted paramilitary terrorists on to the streets. You are too late, these people have gone back.
For 28 years the Garvaghy Road community in the north of Ireland lived in peace 🇮🇪 A sectarian march now threatens decades of peacebuilding and healing. Today Left MEPs came together to say "There is no going back" to the sectarianism of the past. Solidarity with Garvaghy!

They’re all bandwagon-jumping idiots. Doesn’t @NoelGallagher and @Johnny_Marr remember Manchester being bombed? You’re being played lads.
WOW! 👏🏼 Oasis’s Noel Gallagher Oscar-winning actor Susan Sarandon founder of The Smiths Johnny Marr legend of music Paul Weller And actors Siobhán McSweeney and Adrian Dunbar Have all put their names to a letter supporting the right of Garvaghy Road residents to live in peace free from intimidation. The celebrities have called for the Garvaghy Road community to be protected from any form of forced march. The full list of signatories includes some of the biggest names in music, film and the arts. Support for the Garvaghy Road community continues to grow across Ireland and around the world. The British Secretary of State needs to end this unwanted march now. 28 years of peace must be protected. No going back. Not now. Not ever.
