We simply want a rights-based society, and nationalism has psychologically had a complete tantrum at the realisation our community have rights.
This is a legal matter, and it is now for the rule of law to face down the aggression, thuggery and irresponsible behaviour of nationalism, and Sinn Fein in particular.

Today’s decision by the Parades Commission to force an unwanted orange march through the Garvaghy Road is absolutely reckless and disgraceful.
It completely disregards the right of the Garvaghy Road community to live free from intimidation and sectarianism.
This decision amounts to an appeasement of sectarianism and of those in political unionism who want to drag our society backwards.

There is no publicly available record that District Judge Tanweer (Tan) Ikram has ever sat at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.
Never sat in the court before and not slated to preside over any case at thie court in the near future.
I wonder who would have the authority to send a senior Judge all the way down from London to Preside over 1 case.

By interfering in a lawful determination by the Parades Commission and liaising directly with residents, the Irish govt is itself reinforcing the divisions of the past. This is not behaviour appropriate to a foreign govt or an honest broker, but that of a highly partisan actor.

Chris Bryant knows what he must do to avert an impending crisis. The Commission has buckled in the face of a loyalist onslaught & destroyed the credibility of the regulatory process.
He might be spared by the judicial review but, if not, he has a very serious problem.

If the @policeserviceni does not intervene then they may as well say anyone can just do what they want and not consult Parades Commission in future.

Drumcree is exposing the hypocrisy of Sinn Féin.
Principles for everyone apparently except unionists. The minute we ask for the same respect they demand for themselves and others the mask slips and the threats begin.
Sinn Fein have dropped the language of respect, inclusion and equality quicker than a hot poker. When faced with an actual opportunity to give those words meaning, instead of showing leadership and generosity, they turned to fear, intolerance and threats of mobilisation.
