The World Cup absolutely mogs every other sporting event. It’s what the Olympics wishes it was X100.
You’ve got Europeans road-tripping across America and having their minds blown by Buc-ee’s and Bass Pro Shops. You’ve got a small Kansas town falling in love with an Algerian club that chose Kansas City as their homebase. You’ve got South Korea training in Utah to prepare for the altitude in Guadalajara.
For one month, the whole world forgets we’re supposed to hate each other over differences that barely matter. It’s the closest thing we have to world peace.

The most surreal thing of our trip so far. Currently driving towards Louisiana and the radio station we were listening to started talking about our trip and played Ella Langley especially for us😭😭😭

NiJaree Canady, Karlyn Pickens, and Jordy Frahm all saw their collegiate careers end at the hands of Teagan Kavan.
It's no longer about being one of the best among her peers; Kavan has cemented her status as one of the best ever, with room for more.

I just do NOT understand the hate for Mike White. The guy is a softball legend, as both a coach & pitcher. The girls adore him and he has success year after year.
The message Mike White gave Leighann Goode before her final at bat 🥹🤘 @TexasSoftball

The man. The myth. The legend. #CDC
Let's talk about Texas AD Chris Del Conte's run of hires.
2019: Mike White hired as the softball coach.
Since: 3 CWS appearances, two runner-ups and a CWS title last year. Currently No. 2 in the country.
2020: Vic Schaefer hired as the WBB coach.
Since: 5 conf championships (reg or tourney). 4/5 years in the Elite Eight. A Final Four appearance last year. Currently, one of the favorites to win it all in 2026.
2021: Steve Sarkisian hired as the football coach.
Since: Two CFP semi-final appearances, B12 championship, SEC championship berth in first year in the conference, 48 wins in five seasons. Projected Top 3 team in 2026
2024: Jim Schlossnagle hired as the baseball coach.
Since: SEC regular season title in 2025, 64-17 overall record, No. 2 team in the nation currently.
2025: Sean Miller hired as the MBB coach.
Since: One of four SEC teams in the Sweet Sixteen, just the second berth for the program in 18 years.
He's hired top-three coaches in the SEC in four of the six major sports at Texas, and Miller is already solidifying himself in the 6-8 range among SEC MBB coaches.
An absolute masterclass
