PAEDOPHILE JAILED FOR 10 MONTHS AFTER CCTV CAPTURED ABUSE OF NINE-YEAR-OLD BOY IN STREET A man who sexually abused a nine-year-old boy in an Ilford street was jailed after police discovered footage of the offence while investigating an unrelated case. Mohammed Shabir, of Ilford, was 49 when he received a 10-month prison sentence at Snaresbrook Crown Court in 2017. Officers reviewing CCTV for another investigation spotted Shabir with the child near a parked vehicle. The footage revealed that he had subjected the boy to sexual abuse on the pavement. The discovery prompted an investigation, with detectives locating the child and speaking to him about what had happened. The boy bravely recounted the abuse, and police said he and his family were receiving professional support. Shabir admitted inciting a child to engage in sexual activity before being sentenced.
