Such a horrendous take, there’s been plenty of big games impacted by umpiring but this is the first time I can recall launching missiles as a response Crows missed the finals due to a goal umpiring error—no bottles Bulldogs lost a prelim from a goal being ruled a point—no bottles Stk potentially lost a GF from a “goal” hitting the post—no bottles Melbourne lost a prelim after the siren from a free & 15m penalty—no bottles Collingwood lost a GF from a block free not paid—no bottles Coll also may have lost a GF from a Rocca goal not paid—no bottles Port lost a final to WCE after the siren for a dubious free kick—no bottles Lions lost a chance to win 2023 GF due to a poor umpiring mistake with a minute to go—no bottles These are just a few off the top of my head…umpiring decisions often impact the ending but it doesn’t usually end in mass projectiles being launched at umpires…and the key decision was actually correct!!!!
