BREAKING: French police have encountered rioters and looters armed with AK47s and Scorpion submachine guns on the streets of Paris, Marseille and Lyon. The information comes from the Le Journal du Dimanche journalist Laura Tchekov, who says that her newspaper has received this information from sources within the DGSI, France’s main internal security agency. The weapons were carried by minors and young adults described as being part of organized crime groups but sometimes also close to the Islamist movement in France. The journalist says that not all armed rioters were arrested and that several of them remain on free foot. It’s believed that police officers refrained from making arrests as they thought they could be both outmanned and outgunned at the moment and that hundreds of people were on the streets, creating a risk of a shoot-out that could have resulted in a large number of wounded and dead.

Didn't she have insurance?
What we know: 1. She's a member of the French left-wing party and an activist, one of the biggest advocates for opening up migration to North African peoples. 2. She owns a small chic boutique in an upscale spot, she stood in her shop trying to save it from looting and theft telling them that she's a famous activist. 3. She told them I'm so-and-so, the activist for asylum, I'm with you, I've defended you and your entry and stay in France, they spat on her, knocked her down, and trampled her with their feet, good thing she's still alive. 4. And they looted the whole shop, losing all the struggle and work of her lifetime in a moment. Standing there stunned, not believing that these thieving, rabble-rousing, criminal, barbaric hordes are the ones she's spent her whole life defending, and advocating for them to invade her country and destroy it

People aren't buying student protest, quick let's call them cost of living protests, after all they're liberating Louis Vuitton bags
What’s happening in France is a wake-up call to the entire world. 🌍 The cost of living keeps rising while everyday people struggle to survive. People are tired of working hard just to barely get by. Governments need to start listening to the people before frustration turns into chaos. 💯🙏🏽

Spare me the pearl-clutching — especially from Republican Members of Congress and online MAGA grifters who have cheered President Trump's weaponization of the government against those he doesn’t like, as recently as last week. This is a subject I know something about: Less than a year ago, Trump directed the DOJ and FBI to investigate me, and then tried to criminally indict me for a 90 second video, exercising basic free speech. The same free speech you’re exercising now, lying about what I said in this clip. If not for an anonymous group of grand jury members standing up for America's laws, I’d be criminally indicted for sedition. President Trump has turned the government against people, with raucous support from you and virtually all D.C. Republicans. So spare us the manufactured outrage. America must be a place where the rule of law still matters. Those laws should apply to everyone equally. If you have aided in the corrupt use of U.S. taxpayer dollars to benefit the President or his family, or you have violated the law in order to carry out guidance from the President, you should be held accountable. And given how rampant that corruption appears to the average American, people looking to work for his Administration should realize that while the Supreme Court has granted the President immunity, it has not done the same for those who do illegal things at his behest.

‘Let me be very clear: what we’re seeing in France are the most peaceful protests in the history of the world. If you do not support them - right now - by setting your house on fire, you are, quite frankly, going to be remembered for all eternity as a war criminal.’

The community note points out that France doesn't have "austerity" and that this is not about a lack of resources.
A nice old building burns, and so the pearl-clutching begins. Where were these pearl clutchers when austerity was wrecking a generation? Why does one town hall grab their attention but millions of schools, hospitals, and homes dilapidated by neoliberalism are of no importance?

France's level of public social spending was third highest in the world at 30.6% of GDP in 2024. Excluding the pandemic, it is slightly down from its 31.9% high in 2014. Total public spending is 57.2%, second highest among large countries not at war and near all-time highs. ourworldindata.org/grapher/social… ourworldindata.org/grapher/histor

🚨 WOW! Dave Portnoy just went on a TIRADE destroying MI Senate candidate Abdul El Sayed "This guy makes me PUKE. Everything about him makes me PUKE! [...] You ask him about his [Islamist] ties...his WHOLE FAMILY!" "He's like, how do you ask me this question?! [...] You have a MILLION RED FLAGS, DUDE!" "'Why are you asking me that? That's racist!' NO! [...] I want to send my niece and nephew to the Univ. of Michigan...I don't want them worried about getting harassed for being Jewish and leaders be like, TOO BAD." Spot on. The future of Michigan is DARK if Mohamed gets in! Mike Rogers is THE GUY for Michigan at this point in history, and even Dems should be crossing over to get him in the Senate His own half-sister once wrote, "My family has long been MB." Rogers has a history of defending America from terrorists and jihadists, we don't have to worry about him jeopardizing national security, which should be the BARE MINIMUM 🇺🇸

‼️🔎REVEALED: An internal document belonging to Hamas detailing plans to plant explosive devices in areas of displaced persons camps in Gaza. The document shows that Hamas' engineering department proposed planting explosive devices around displaced persons camps and detonating them as IDF troops approached, placing the civilian population in the camps at risk, in order to create panic as a smokescreen for the escape of its operatives. This was part of Hamas’ preparations to protect its leadership and operatives, while endangering and exploiting the civilian population in the area, fully aware that these actions were likely to cause direct harm to civilians.
