It's probably much worse. George Soros, love him or hate him, knew what he wanted and it was for his preferred group of humans. Anthropic's Effective Altruists know what they want and it is to reduce future suffering and humans are at best a footnote in that story.

We need SERIOUS campaign finance reform. Lower caps on donations. Requirement for proven citizenship in a candidate's district in order to donate. Make PACs illegal. Institute caps on campaign account balances and expenditures. Even it up. Every candidate has the same spending cap.
