The main ICI property is held by the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) as a waqf. NAIT is not some random real-estate company. That matters because the waqf model is about permanence: preserve the asset and use its proceeds to support designated institutions over the long term. Putting young people in a position where they have to lie about who they are in order to graduate or get a job, is a catastrophic failure. It offers nothing to those young people who do not want to submit. There is no other path for them to graduate or get employed and it kills hope. It’s how you end up with young people who are ashamed of their parents - you put them in a system where the only way to succeed is to become something/someone else. So many parents hav lost their children to indoctrination at these colleges. We need to do better & offer real pathways to those brave enough to resist.
