You’ve never had pain? Ok good for you I don’t care, I love pushing myself Why do you care so much what I do?
Replying to @BioLayne
So you did have pain in the first place. I haven't had pain from lifting so far. I am 44 too. Trained since I was 12. How is it nonsense if you have torn your pec? Wrecked healthy tissue. Never fully recovers And what about people like Coleman, Yates, Rühl, who got injured?

I’ve deadlifted 600 x 6 conventional. Chill
Replying to @BioLayne
Now, what about regular deadlifts? Sumo is much easier and doesn't relate to sport strength and power.

I don’t really care what someone’s subjective opinion of what a ‘real man’ is. I love deadlifting and competing in powerlifting But hope you feel better 🤷‍♂️
Replying to @BioLayne
Real athletic men in the 40’s don’t do bs movements like sumo DL’s movements they clean and jerk. 🫣🤣🤯😂

This is nonsense. You don’t ‘wreck’ tissues. This is a fragility mindset and not supported by the data on injuries and pain I have far less pain now (virtually none) than I did 10 years ago The difference was load management and prioritizing recovery
Replying to @BioLayne
Great performance! Congratulations on that! Truly awesome! But one day you might write about all the healthy body tissues you had to wreck to achieve that. How much damage and injuries and pain you had and will have in the future. This is the price i am never willing to pay.

660 x 6 deadlift: ALL TIME PR 44 years old, life time drug free, and been through herniated discs, torn muscles, and tons of people who told me I was washed One question: what y’all got to say now? 😬 Thank you for the extra motivation tho Best is yet to come…

There are controlled trials as well as direct mechanistic evidence along with epidemiology. Go ahead and run that LDL up though
Replying to @BioLayne
There's zero science showing LDL to be causal of disease. What you've read isn't science it's epidemiological pharma propaganda. Those of us who actually research, know LDL is protective not causal

Wow this selfie really changes my interpretation of the research. I have to totally rethink things…
Replying to @BioLayne
We've come to a point we're no one trusts "the science* because they are liars and cheats and funded by big money. Sorry you chose "science" as a profession. You've been lied to as well. The sooner you science deny, the smarter you'll be. Choose truth!!!

Citing relevant research data is only abhorrent if you hate truth
Replying to @BioLayne
Stop being arrogant. Your behavior is abhorrent. Your physique is OK. It’s good. It’s not good enough to be this arrogant to everyone. And this wrong. How many lipid measurements per subjects Mendelian randomization? There are not “millions of data points” not real ones.

You literally have no concept of how research works.
Replying to @BioLayne
It ain’t an RCT. These are processes that can be observed under strictly controlled laboratory settings. But please continue worshiping your data. This is why no one but complete and utter imbeciles take you seriously.

Replying to @BioLayne
Because I'm capable of critical thought and self autonomy I don't vote. *gestures vaguely* Voters did this. And nothing I said is incorrect which is why the ad hominem. Not only do you know fuckall about actual science youre a walking logical fallacy.

I’m not a fasting advocate but there are a lot of confounding variables here and possibility for reverse causality
Having your first meal post 12 PM = 29% higher all-cause mortality risk vs eating 7-8 AM Stop skipping breakfast

Reductionist. No one singular thing will produce “the healthiest people in the world”
Replying to @BioLayne
The Fins who sauna so much are around #34 in longevity. They sauna on avg 3 times per week. So if it actually had longevity benefits, then the Fins should be the healthiest people in the world. They are not even close. Whereas tracking happiness, they are the happiest people.

Yea but exercise also raises blood glucose. Of all the 'biohacks,' Sauna has some of the best evidence that it may have actual longevity benefits: Reduces blood presssure, reduces risk of cardiovascular disease, cardiovascular disease mortality, and all cause mortality Need more research but Sauna actually seems pretty promising
Sauna spikes your blood glucose as much as a meal: - A CGM showed sauna sessions spiking glucose as high as a full meal - It's not a sensor error - you dehydrate, water leaves the blood, and sugar concentration rises - Glucose drops back to baseline or slightly below once you rehydrate - The recommended protocol is sauna 3-4x per week, 1-2 hours before sleep, within an 8-10 hour feeding window - The mental and physical benefits outweigh a concentration-driven spike - don't drop sauna over it @hubermanlab
