Heartbreaking news. James “Jim” Copenhaver, one of the men shot at the Butler rally on July 13, 2024, has died. He was 76. He took two bullets that day and lived with the fragments, the surgeries, and the pain for two more years. Jim once wrote: “After raising a family and working for over 30 years - playing in a band on the side - I started to wonder: How will I be remembered? Well, I got my answer on July 13, 2024, though taking a bullet meant for the President wasn’t exactly what I had in mind.” A husband, father, and grandfather who just went to hear a president speak. Rest easy, Jim. We remember you. Prayers for his family. 🇺🇸🙏
