19 year old Martinez Long was at a Dearborn mall where a fight escalated into another man shooting dead one person, shoot another and begin to recklessly fire inside the mall.
Long drew his own pistol and killed the shooter stopping the gunfire.
Because he didn't have a MI carry permit he was prosecuted and sentenced to 2 years probation.
The presiding judge (pictured) made the statement, "what do you need a gun for protection in a mall, in the first place?”😳
