A 10-year, $1B Agreement for Roundtable. Two dozen publishing brands and nearly 100 million monthly consumers are set to move onto Roundtable's MediaOS. Today we announced a 10-year, $1 billion agreement with Paradium.AI (NYSE: PAAI), formerly The Arena Group, covering brands including TheStreet, Parade, Men's Journal, Athlon Sports, Autoblog and Powder. Professional media has spent two decades handing its economics, data and audiences to platforms it doesn't control. The model @RTB_io has built runs the other way, taking on publishing, ad operations, syndication, hosting and DeFi payments, while publishers keep full ownership of their brands, domains, IP, journalism and audiences. From the finance seat, I've seen how much of a publisher's revenue is absorbed by infrastructure and intermediaries before it reaches the newsroom. This agreement consolidates that cost onto one platform and keeps the upside with the people producing the work. It also reunites @pauledmondson with @JamesCHeckman and Bill Sornsin. Grateful to build alongside this fantastic set of people @eyal Hertzog, Walton Comer, @__MikeAlexander, Will Heckman, @jacksonhinkle, @csmith, @alpGasimov, @mehabspeaks, Liz Larson, Trent Pool, @caseycraig_, Lior Cohen Avioz, Or Bachar, Zack Kirscher, George Oliva, Steven Fletcher, and partners Mike Fisher, @ScottSalomonNFL, @Sam_Phalen, Brad Call, @BradMSchultz, @brendangulick22 and @massey_evan. And let me say, welcome to the @paradiumai team. Not to forget the @BlockchainFF team Mansoor Madhavji, @AhanRajgor, Hossam Hamdy, @niravbakshi1, @ernesttan. From pre-seed to the Nasdaq bell, Roundtable is now public. The first AI/DeFi enterprise platform for premium media, built to pay creators in real time, handing publishers ownership of their audiences. Kudos to the @RTB_io team - this is what building the future looks like.
This week, we rang the Nasdaq closing bell. I'm still catching my breath. Some backstory on why this one means so much. I've spent my career backing the idea that technology should put power directly in the hands of the people who create value. Roundtable is that idea made real for a $200B media industry - publishers paid in real time and owning the audience they build. Today, it's a public company. Roundtable (NASDAQ: RTB) is now the world's first AI/DeFi enterprise platform built for premium media. Live in Times Square, beta complete, millions of users already on the network. Blockchain Founders Fund backed this at pre-seed, before the platform, before the users, when it was still mostly conviction. It became our largest investment to date, and I stepped in as CFO because the thesis was too clean to walk away from. We believed it early. Watching it ring the bell is something else entirely. A milestone like this has a lot of hands on it. None of it exists without @JamesCHeckman, whose original vision started all of it. @Eyal Hertzog, who invented the DeFi protocol the entire platform runs on. Bill Sornsin, who carried the product and technical execution. And Walton Comer, whose leadership as Chairman steered us through the merger and the listing. To the @RTB_io team, @__MikeAlexander, Will Heckman, @jacksonaltonh, @csmith, @alpGasimov, @mehabspeaks, Liz Larson, Trent Pool, @caseycraig_ , Lior Cohen Avioz, Or Bachar, Zac Kirscher, George Oliva, Steven Fletcher, and partners Mike Fisher, @ScottSalomonNFL , @Sam_Phalen, Brad Call, @BradMSchultz, @brendangulick22 and @massey_evan , this moment belongs to you. You built it. And to the @BlockchainFF team who lived in the diligence, the structuring, and the late-night problem-solving. Mansoor Madhavji, Hossam Hamdy, @AhanRajgor, @niravbakshi1, @ErnestTan - you know exactly what this one took. Pre-seed to the @NasdaqExchange. What a road. NASDAQ: RTB. Onwards.

Every crypto bear market looks different going down and identical underneath. 2014, 2018, 2022. Drawdowns of 76-85%, running 12 -18 months. Liquid markets fall first. Venture contracts on a lag, and the contraction shows up in deal count long before it shows up in dollars. 🧵
