Age limits for elected office is one of the most reasonable, uncontroversial, common sense policies that has no discernible downside and would attract wide approval from both liberals and conservatives. You could even set the cap high, like age 80, and remove any possible argument against it while still solving a significant chunk of the problem. But it will never happen because the politicians themselves would have to put the policy in place. And they won't do anything that limits their ability to cling to power, even to their dying breath.

San Antonio this morning. SAPD rolling deep on Blvck Diamond, a licensed hemp dispensary on Hildebrand. Multiple people in cuffs. Heavy presence. Search warrant. Their attorney says the business is lawful, licensed, has cooperated with law enforcement before, and still hasn’t even been shown the warrant. He’s pointing to the ongoing mess of Texas hemp regulations, delta-8 fights, and testing rules that keep shifting under businesses’ feet. This is exactly why Texas needs clear rules written by Texans, for Texans — not a regulatory gray zone that lets good operators get treated like cartels while the real problems keep walking across the border. I’ve been saying it: legalize adult-use cannabis the right way (Cultivate Texas Act), protect Texas farmers and veterans, bring the product under the law, generate real revenue to eliminate the property tax, and kill the black market. Stop the chaos. Stop the selective enforcement. Stop the uncertainty that hurts small Texas businesses trying to operate above board. Law and order matters. So does common sense. Texas First. Always.

I filed with FEC for the 2028 House race. This allows me to raise funds to continue my political operations supporting my position as a current office holder and as a potential candidate for federal office. I haven’t made a final decision about which office to seek, if I run.

Maybe not a popular take but I am calling for this guy to be pardoned. Unless the DOJ plans on going after all the crooks in congress currently insider trading, this is simply skewed justice. There is no “justice” when guys like this get the book thrown at him yet members are illegally profiting every day. I don’t agree with what he did and he should be required to disgorge all the profits however, unless the DOJ plans on doing Congress next, this is not justice.

One of my neighbors kid went to trade school for HVAC at 18. His parents were embarrassed because everyone around us, college is the only option promoted. He spent $6k and started at $65k while his friends were still in school. At 25 he got his contractor license. At 27 he opened his own shop. Last year his company did $2.1 million in revenue with 3 trucks. His friends just started to pay off their student loans. Now, my neighbors cant stop bragging about their son who also is our neighborhood HVAC tech. Day 96 tagging @mikeroweworks to let everyone know that we need more kids like this.
