Germany just joined the Tesla side. Transport Minister Steffen Bilger said Tuesday he will push for fast EU approval of FSD Supervised after September talks with the company. Berlin called it strong in city traffic, signed off on running up to 10 percent over the limit, and Tesla cleared the naming fight by offering Tesla Assisted Driving. Elon answered on X: “Danke schön.”
The EU committee punted the Dutch file on October 6, so the earliest bloc vote is December. Bilger already said if Brussels drags, Germany should do it alone. Eight countries are live off the Dutch exemption: the Netherlands, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Croatia, Lithuania, Slovenia and Estonia. Tesla needs 15 states and 65 percent of the population. Germany moves the math.
Slovakia is next. Transport Minister Jozef Ráž Jr. said the ministry is working the approval now, paperwork going out in the coming days. That is country nine. Czechia already flipped. Ashok Elluswamy had Slovakia pending back in June.
