yes. one way you can tell "we can't safely kill death row inmates!" is a fake controversy is that you never hear about Canada having any trouble killing their MAID folks, which are now something above 5% of all deaths in that country.
The key thing to remember here is that this is all fake, because of course we can very easily execute people painlessly. This is a fake controversy arranged by progressives to sow doubt about the death penalty. It should make you wonder what other debates are similarly fake.

Saudi Arabia announced last week that it can't deliver crude allocations to Europe for all of October and was recalling exports for domestic use that were already out on the seas.
These info-ops are insane.

I have called this the False Pendulum all year. The online influencer class has consistently messaged the most damaging, isolating and repulsive take on every issue in since Feb 28.
They have their war. Now it's time for the pendulum to swing back left so Dems can prosecute it.
I think we will eventually learn that the online hit squads attacking dissenting independent voices was very much an intentional, strategic decision made by an individual or small group of individuals without a lot of thought about ramifications.

I think the foreign policy community and I count myself amongst them, underestimated the US ability to dismantle Iranian pressure on the Strait. This was not expected a few months ago.
