Supporting Cardano standards (CIP editing: cosd.com/cips) and cryptocurrency security (frankenwallet.com). Delegators also get RealFi points (see cosd.com/rfi)

Once again, @COSDpool brings us a snapshot of the Cardano Improvement Proposal (CIP) process, the mechanism by which any stakeholder can propose changes to the protocol.

The latest relative to the #DeFiKernel — applied to #DecentralizedIdentity but also presenting a better view of sustainable economic worth than centralised figures like TVL could ever do — and most practically applicable through #Cardano's eUTxO model 😎 iog.io/news/the-economic-web…

1) We've reviewed @realfi_co launching on #Cardano / $ADA and agree it has great potential 🤠 and can confirm all delegators to COSD pool will also get "R-Points" — redeemable for the project's RFG token — by testing its new Testnet dApp, starting here ➡️ preprod.realfi.co/join/9kr8w…

b) The "VIP" process has been amended so the *first* 10 delegators (to qualifying pools like COSD) to complete the "testnet" steps above can claim the larger token bonus ("first come, first served") *without* any "VIP link" being required. 😎

Please feel free to double-check these statements on Discord = discord.gg/realfi — the details above are what COSD has digested on your behalf: to confirm that our delegators, actively participating or not, will ALL be eligible for RealFi rewards. 🤩 @realfi_co @benohanlon

Thank you @phil_uplc for confirming these things that I have been saying for years. 🙏 Beyond that: I wouldn't want my own assets anywhere near a hardware wallet whenever its institutionally mandated, deliberately placed flaws are finally triggered. 🧐 frankenwallet.com/intro/hard…
Hardware wallets are, for the most part, one of the biggest psyops of this entire industry, and widely recognized as bad opsec by security researchers. The mailing and order lists for hardware wallets are some of the most repeatedly hacked and leaked datasets, appearing on blackhat forms year after year. Mailing addresses, names, emails, all of which are perfectly filtered for known value targets. A $300 laptop with no internet hardware is significantly less likely to get you wrench attacked, or get your root keys rugged by an HW wallet backdoor. Also, for the vast majority of users, a hardware wallet won’t save you if your web-wallet is compromised. You would have to review the entire transaction on the 1 by 1 inch hw wallet screen, where most people look at the wallet summary. You’d have to double check every script hash, every destination address of every transaction you sign. In-practice, the number of people who do this approaches zero.

This year's TSC budget proposal is vital for #Cardano's CIP Process to be properly funded: providing dedicated technical standards review + supporting cooperation across core features & emerging applications 🚀 @phil_uplc @_KtorZ_ @Ryun1_ @adatainment @DenicioBernier @adamKDean
The TSC budget proposal is live on chain.  DReps please vote to support core technical activity for Cardano. 12 months, 1,193,000 Ada. cardanoscan.io/govAction/gov…

Here is a webapp I wrote to facilitate safe migration of wallets that I have been sharing with users I verified as impacted since the original incident occurred. My legal counsel finally gave approval to publish the tool publicly: is-my-cardano-safu.vercel.ap… You can use "Get Me Outta Here", and it will handle the corner cases that can result in loss of funds. Note that the tool is use at your own risk, it performs the safe migration handling the known edge-cases, however it doesn't guarantee comprehensiveness and there may be uncovered edge-cases that even this tool is not equipped to handle.
Replying to @adaorca1
There are obscure and rare corner cases where this can lead to further loss of funds. Some wallets will automatically withdraw staking rewards as part of the first transaction and return them to your wallet instead of sending them to the other wallet. If you panic and only send ADA, your native assets will be returned to you as change. This can move assets from somewhere that they're safe, to an address that is compromised, and expose them to further losses. The point is, if you understand all the nuance and corner cases, there is a safe way to move your funds. If you don't, and you're rushing and panicking, there are ways you can make a mistake. And that's why I'm being careful not to tell people what they *should* do, while still trying to be helpful.

Next stage in #DeFiKernel evolution: the amazing premise that loans under high-volatility conditions we all share in the crypto world can be the *solution* to that volatility ⭐ since this tech allows loans to be extended without margin 🤠 @__fallen_icarus iog.io/news/non-margin-defi-…

Only rarely can we see the next stage of the future when it's mostly unknown but practically proven. 🚀 No developer hurdle or organisational prejudice is too great to make the #DeFiKernel a reality; thanks again to @__fallen_icarus for never giving up 🏆 iog.io/news/the-account-mode…

Cardano has a lot of visible work: launches, announcements, debates, big ideas. But a healthy ecosystem also depends on the unglamorous work that almost nobody sees, the editing, review cycles, cleanup, coordination, and relentless attention to detail that turns rough drafts into something the community can actually build on. This year, a huge amount of that load has been carried by Robert Phair (@rphair). He’s spent countless hours moving the CIP process forward: editing, reviewing, nudging, fixing typos, making commits, and doing whatever was needed to keep proposals progressing. It’s thankless work, and most people won’t even know his name; yet it is the foundation of the entire ecosystem. If you care about Cardano maturing, you should care about the people doing this kind of stewardship. Robert is one of those rare contributors who shows up consistently, does the hard parts, and rarely asks for anything. He deserves real recognition for the impact he’s had.

Thanks @__fallen_icarus to your trust and cooperation I've known long in advance that this would happen someday 😇 ... but still the confirmation is exhilarating & empowering: a long awaited market that can't really be duplicated outside #cardano 😍
The @IOGroup BitcoinDeFi project will be utilizing the DeFi Kernel's credit market! 🎉🎉 $BTC and $ADA HODLers maintain full self-custody while assets are locked as collateral—with zero margin call risk. Hopefully, this is the start of a new era for #Cardano's #DeFi🤞 #Bitcoin
