CSIR-IMTECH is pleased to congratulate Ms. Jyotsna Gupta, PhD Scholar under the guidance of Dr. Ravi P.N. Mishra, Scientist-F, whose Sci-Art work, “Spores in Space,” was showcased at the CSIR Sci-Art Gallery at NASC Complex, PUSA New Delhi as part of the CSIR 85th Foundation Day celebrations. At the intersection of microbiology and astrobiology, “Spores in Space” imaginatively explores the possibility of microbial life beyond Earth. Through cosmic reinterpretations of microbes, laboratory components and living forms, the artwork demonstrates how creative expression can make scientific ideas more engaging and accessible. The celebrations were graced in the presence of Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences; Dr. (Mrs.) N. Kalaiselvi, Director General, CSIR and Secretary, DSIR; and Dr. Alka Rao, Director, CSIR-IMTECH, along with Secretaries of the other Science Ministries, Directors and Scientists from other CSIR laboratories.
