Look for the new 360 view in the next update rolling out this week and a few other things to make the app more awesome than it already is!
Driving in LA traffic every day, you really get to appreciate FSD’s ability to look ahead and behind and all around at the same time.
Two right-turn lanes here. The car next to me is slightly behind me, outside my peripheral vision, and starts drifting into our lane mid-turn. FSD sees it, calmly moves out of the way, then accelerates and slides right back into the lane once it’s safe.
No overreaction. Just a really smooth and safe response.
360 view coming to @CamCutApp in the next few days to better visualize these situations

Gonna drop this sick 360° dashcam view for all the chilren to play with in the next @CamCutApp update.
@MartyEarthy gave me the idea about 6 months ago when I first started building CamCut, but I really disliked that Tesla doesn’t provide the wide-angle front camera feed, so the transitions between the front and pillar cameras can’t be seamless.
You’ll have to live with the pillar gaps because I don’t want to fake it, but honestly, it’s not too bad. Kinda makes you feel like you’re sitting in the cockpit of a spaceship
Let me know if you think of any feature enhancement or how you would use it.

Important PSA: Tesla now enables dashcam encryption by default. When it’s ON, your dashcam footage can only be viewed in the car or in Tesla’s official apps. Otherwise they are completely hidden.
If you want to view your saved clips in @CamCutApp or any other third party software you’ll need to disable the “Encrypt Dashcam Recordings” toggle in the Safety menu.

Using @CamCutApp. Be sure to turn off dashcam recordings encryption before using.
That encryption does not allow video to be pulled directly from thumb drive.

Here’s a solid example of the lightning quick scan and response time that FSD is capable of.
Going near 60 mph on this dark highway I could barely notice this pile of debris until I was right on top of it, but FSD saw it just in time and took appropriate evasive action avoiding what would have been a nasty hit at the very least. @Tesla_AI

Obviously FSD is safer than I am in these 3 scenarios.
...Which is why I constantly critique FSD.
Bad parking, brake stabbing, no target speed control, awkward stopping, hitting potholes, etc etc will prevent someone from using FSD when in fact it may save their life or their vehicle.
It's too good to be so bad at the little things.

FSD v14.3.4 still fails the static object avoidance test.
I’ve repeated this exact test on every major FSD release since V11. V13 finally learned to consistently avoid a larger box.
But three years later, no version has successfully avoided the smaller box.
This time, @OGMarsLife and I expanded the test by using two boxes of the same size but different colors, and we tested them both in direct sunlight and in the shade to see whether lighting or appearance made any difference.
95% of people in the poll believed FSD would avoid at least one of the boxes and I honestly thought V14.3.4 would be the first to do so. I guess V15 it is!

FSD V14.3.4 Hand held stop sign test #3
This is the first time I can definitively say that FSD reacted on hand gesture.
I start by holding the STOP sign upside down. FSD still recognizes it and comes to a stop.
Then I keep the sign steady as I slowly walk toward the side of the road. FSD continues to wait.
Finally, I slowly raise my free arm and give a clear “go ahead” gesture while still holding the STOP sign. That’s when FSD proceeds.
This is another really interesting example of how FSD appears to weigh multiple cues rather than relying on a single signal.
