That’s the rule. You don’t even need to be a permanent resident. Take a course, clear a check, and a guy here on a student visa can walk out with a firearms licence.
Look at this footage from Brampton, Regina and Calgary: young men from India (often on student visas & getting recruited into gangs), being reckless & posting videos of themselves posing with these weapons.
It’s insane. Canada needs to stop this. Non citizens should not be able to get guns. Period. It’s irresponsible & stupid & it’s leaving the country wide open.

Kirsten Hanke, a 30 year old Canadian woman broke her ankle on her front step. A week later she was dead.
That’s socialist healthcare. Kirsten was dumped by a Saskatoon hospital, her surgery date disappeared, she was dumped again, and blood clots from an untreated break likely killed her while she waited in line.
Her family demands answers while the regime is ‘investigating’ itself. Many Canadians brag that our system is ‘better’ because we don’t get a bill like Americans do. Congrats. We don’t pay at the counter. Instead we pay with our lives.
