A library isn’t a privilege reserved for people with homes.
It’s PUBLIC.
If someone experiencing homelessness walks into a library to get warm, use the internet, read, charge their phone, use the washroom, or simply sit somewhere safe, and they’re not bothering anyone leave them alone.
We’ve eliminated so many places where people can exist without spending money, libraries should remain one of them.
You don’t lose your right to public spaces because you lost your housing.
Homelessness is not a crime, poverty is not a crime, and simply existing shouldn’t be one either!
