Will there be an Order in Council relating to Fox Carney’s appointment? How about a public instrument setting out the position's legal authority, term, powers or reporting relationship? Will Fox Carney be a public office holder or reporting public office holder under the Conflict of Interest Act?
The announcement doesn't say that other candidates were considered, set out selection criteria, or explain how Fox Carney was selected.
Canada has the longest coastline on Earth, bordering three oceans. We have an obligation to protect them.
