Can we make the argument of how anyone can still be so bearish on quantum technology?
Yes, we get the valuation argument and for most we totally agree, though when (not if) quantum works out, they'll all be severely UNDER valued.
But quantum isn't the same industry as it was from 2022-2024.
We've completely changed the landscape as governments are committing BILLIONS to individual quantum companies.
The US signed $2 billion in CHIPS Act deals with 9 quantum companies, taking ownership stakes in each such as
$INFQ and ethereum:0x4a220e6096b25eadb88358cb44068a3248254675 Illinois put $500M into a quantum campus. Australia put nearly a billion into PsiQuantum alone. Japan built its first national quantum computer around
$INFQ processor. The UK committed £2.5B. Canada backed
$XNDU today with an over $160 million dollar package. The House just voted to raise military quantum spending 68%.
AI never got this, OpenAI and DeepMind were built on private money but Washington never felt the same urgency. Quantum is getting state capital, equity stakes, and national programs BEFORE the breakout. Every major government independently reached the same conclusion: they cannot afford to be left out.
The last time governments funded a technology before markets would? Semiconductors, 1960s, when the Pentagon bought 100% of all chips produced. Ask how that aged.
