The SEC just used the same regulatory tool that once created money market funds, index funds, and ETFs to greenlight tokenized US stocks trading on DeFi rails. Today's "Innovation Exemption" allows tokenized NMS stocks to trade on onchain venues via automated market makers and liquidity pools. The tone shift is the real story: "The Commission should not impulsively limit emerging technologies by contorting them into legacy legal frameworks." That's the SEC officially treating on-chain equity markets as the next legitimate market structure, not a threat to squash. The RWA thesis just got a tailwind that costs nothing to build on.

🇺🇸 U.S. crypto regulation hit a roadblock, not a dead end. The Clarity Act stumbled in the Senate. One day later, a House panel advanced the first federal crypto tax framework with a 38–5 vote. The signal is clear: the rules for on-chain finance are still being written. For RWAs, regulatory clarity is how tokenization moves from experiment to infrastructure.

But this time the setup is different: markets are already pricing a significant probability of another Fed hike. 🌃 The overnight backdrop: Brent briefly approached $110 and U.S. diesel hit $6, putting energy back at the center of the inflation story. 🏦 The Fed squeeze: If inflation is being driven by an energy supply shock rather than demand, higher rates can cool the economy, but they can’t produce more oil or fix disrupted supply routes. And that makes today’s CPI only part of the story 👀 All eyes will be on the Fed’s September 16 decision and how policymakers respond if inflation remains elevated while the underlying pressure is coming from energy and supply.
