12 scientists are held in prison for a non-violent climate protest in Germany. The judge has decided they'll remain in custody for up to a week. There is something they want you to hear. Follow the thread for their testimonies. #UniteAgainstClimateFailure #ScienceInJail (1/n)

No, MERV 8 as MERV 13 is not even close to an "all time low." That would have to be their false claim that their product reduced SARS-Cov-2 by >90%. This is what increased their sales from $40 MM/year to $40 million/day. It is all here: gofundme.com/f/help-to-cover…
Replying to @JimRosenthal4
Wow, trying to pass off MERV 8 as MERV 13 is an all time low! Somewhere around three billion dollars wasted. I wonder how many schools are using this technology thinking that it is safe? Grateful to heroes like @marwa_zaatari

Some Mastodon servers are under very heavy load during the past few days due to the extreme spike in user numbers. Remember, no matter which server you sign-up on, you get access to the same decentralized network. You don't have to choose the popular ones!

Are there any review articles which study the importance of open-source software for the sciences? Relatedly, here's a great quote from Freeman Dyson, which I think also underlines the importance of free and open-source software.
