🤩 If you haven't already, check out this study where Dr. Primer and researchers at @UniofAdelaide explore the role of the PDK4/PDC axis in angiogenesis, the effect of diabetes on its regulation in response to ischemia, and the proangiogenic properties of rHDL! 👏Congratulations to the team!
The major paper from my PhD has been published in @atvbahajournals! 🎉 We discovered that #HDL improves diabetic wound healing by helping #endothelialcells shut down OXPHOS and survive in hypoxia. An enormous thank you to @ChrisBursill @jotan80 and team ❤️ pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/4010…

Thrilled that our study was featured recently by the media as we continue to unravel the beneficial effects of good cholesterol as a new treatment for diabetic wounds. Fun fact: the study that started it all also received media interest in 2016. @ChrisBursill @Khal1a 👩🏻‍🔬🔬🧫
