I believe the right term is "freeze order". The term "froze" seems misleading

the order was issued September 21st soooo It concerns a corruption investigation, rather than crypto regulation. 86 bank accounts alongside 25 crypto wallets. The money trail spans traditional finance and crypto. The key issue is alleged corruption & a freeze order is not a conviction.

Looks like even crypto can’t escape a good regulatory shake-up, here’s to transparency and accountability. May this inspire more trust in the system.

Even politicians are finally building a diversified crypto portfolio on government time.

A court can freeze an exchange account. It can’t freeze a self-custodied wallet, only flag its addresses and choke the fiat exits. The 86 bank accounts may matter more than the 25 wallet labels.

It’s nice to see justice taking a dip in the waters of accountability. Here’s hoping for a deeper clean in every pool of funds.

On-chain traceability keeps challenging the “crypto is anonymous” narrative. Compliance tooling is becoming core infra.

watch the blast radius. exchanges will flag every linked address first and ask questions later, panic dumps incoming. compliance desks stay undefeated 🤡

this isnt a "crypto has regulations or law in place" in the philipeans, this is enforcing corruption and possible fraud anti-graft/plunder/money launderin laws with matters that happen to have crypto involved.

Return that money to the government so someone will steal it again. Philippine politics is a joke! Send them to West Philippines Sea so China can water cannon them all.

Judicial asset freezes targeting crypto wallets and bank accounts in corruption probes highlight expanding sovereign enforcement capabilities over digital assets

On-chain tracking leaves no place to hide for corrupt officials. A Philippine court freezing 25 crypto wallets alongside 86 bank accounts in a massive plunder probe proves that digital assets are no longer a safe haven from federal forensic investigators. Transparency wins. 🏛️🇵🇭 #CryptoRegulation #Philippines #AntiCorruption #BlockchainForensics

Crypto gets the headline, but 86 bank accounts is the bigger signal. This looks like a multi-rail investigation, not a crypto-only case.
