If there's one law I wish Singapore would.. improve on, that would be our vape laws
In the 2010s, vaping was encouraged in Singapore as an alternative to smoking. Unfortunately because of that, people were vaping indoors, in public transports, and in places where it would be an olfactory nuisance. That was one of the reasons why vape is banned here (there are more reasons but this is one of them)
Despite that, people still managed to smuggle vapes into Singapore. You can still find people vaping in public places at that time
The crackdown became more severe last year when vape pods were laced with etomidate in Hong Kong and distributed illegally in Singapore. Gen Z Singaporeans were seen walking around in a zombie state. There were cases of Singaporean teenagers dying due to etomidate overdose. We almost had a situation akin to the fentanyl crisis in America.
Now the government goes after anyone possessing a vape pen, even if the vape is not laced with etomidate and just contain nicotine.
Frankly, I think vape should be heavily regulated here rather than banned. We did that for prostitution and gambling so why couldn't that be done? A regulation on vape can also ensure that vape is produced in a strict environment and people won't have access to drug laced ones. This would destroy the local vape black market completely. Strict laws on where vaping is allowed should be imposed
But nope, a complete ban because some idiots decided to vape anywhere and to put drugs into vapes.
There are rumors that our government did that because they can't tax on vapes and cigarettes are still legal because it can be taxed. I think cigarettes should be banned instead.

Its just like the 1930s alcohol prohibition era in America. The ban on alcohol in America backfired because the alcohol black market got so big that it became difficult to control. As a result, the ban there had to be reversed.

The Falun Gong is like a Chinese version of the Scientology cult. As much as I don't like the CCP, I wouldn't be on their side either.
They are also banned in Singapore.
A Chinese man tore apart an elderly woman's protest sign outside Toronto's Chinese Consulate. When a bystander said "this is Canada," he answered "Fuck Canada."
Video from September 22 shows him ripping banners that read "Stop Persecution of Falun Gong" during a protest against CCP repression. He pushed the elderly woman holding one of the signs and knocked over the display stands. He reportedly threatened bystanders, saying things like "this is Chinese territory," before walking off still holding a banner.
No arrest or police statement has surfaced yet.

If only the new Indian citizens in Singapore have the same mindset as you too
PSA to Indian Americans and Indian green-card holders (who intend to become citizens):
Speak out to end immigration from India. That includes:
Deportation of Indians
Ending all work visas
Ending chain immigration
Not just the unassimilated ones. Not a few. Not most. End all immigration from India.
Your safety and survival depend on it. Do it before any innocent Indian in America gets physically hurt.
The situation has fully changed:
1. Fifteen years ago, Indians who came here did not destroy water by immersing Ganesh idols. They did not throw trash at Colorado mountain peaks or burst crackers with no regard for neighbors. We are doing it now.
2. Fifteen years ago, Indians who came here did not steal or scam life savings from old white widows and white grandmas. Yes, Indians are doing it.
3. Fifteen years ago, we did not sexually harass white women on public buses or as homeowners. Yep, our people are doing it.
4. Fifteen years ago, we did not bring drugs or fentanyl or do human trafficking into this nation. Yep, we are doing it now.
5. Fifteen years ago, we did not enter the US with fake degrees. Now people are doing it.
6. Fifteen years ago, Indian women did not go to Walmart and steal items. Indian women are doing it now.
7. Fifteen years ago, we did not undercut wages for Hispanic blue-collar workers by banding together and keeping wages low for them. Yep, we are doing that shitty behavior. As @SaraGonzalesTX showed, we are also stealing wages from other Indians and treating them like slaves by using H-1B as leverage.
8. Fifteen years ago, we were not saying it is time to control America by entering on both sides and skewing policies in our favor. Yes, Indians are planning to do it. This is seen as an invasion. This will definitely not end well for regular Indians in America.

Indian-American influencers like HinduAmericanFoundation may say we are the best as we are and that MAGA are racists, so we ought to teach them a lesson by voting Democrat (when 70% of them already vote Democrat).
NONE OF IT MATTERS. You are losing the support of the people. It is across races and across the political spectrum. When your ass is on fire, all those people will not come and help you. At best, they will condemn the behavior and move on — only you will be at the receiving end of the pain. Yes, corporate execs and politicians imported you, but they wont help you! Def. India wont help you...
It is high time to speak out to end immigration from India.

I intend to live in harmony with the host and make sure no Indian gets hurt. It starts with the deportation of Indians and ending immigration from India, reporting bad behavior of Indian Americans to the authorities, and shaming them.
